SLOCs are imported to create tagging jobs at bases throughout Canada across the DRM-SM Project. The process is a simple process to complete by following steps below.
Step 1 - Select the correct Project
The DRM-SM project is split into regional projects so the first thing to select is to click ORDER LABELS from the home screen.
Main Dashboard
Projects Page
Now select the correct project and click order labels for it.
Job Selector
Now select the job type and in this case it is always SLOC Import.
Step 2: Import Data File
Files are requested by the Project Management team and created by the DRT team, these must follow the exact expected format or the file import process will fail. If the file format isn't correct please notify the relevant DRT and copy the DRL and then new files should be sent. The first step is to select the correct location from the dropdown list.
Location Selector
DRT File Selector
The user must now find the DRT file on their computer and IMPORT DATA. The system will now match the data in the file to the system and the location data to the selected location data.
Step 3: Review Data
The data will now be presented to the user to review. In many cases the DRT files are empty, it is imperative that they are still sent to the tool as this creates the job in the tool for the user even if there is no data. There could be non-EMR tracked assets or GTIN assets at the SLOC. The errors presented can mostly be ignored while importing but here is a review of them.
Total Labels Requested - total lines in the file
Labels Passed Validation - Lines never seen before
Duplicate Labels in UID Database - Lines we have tagged previously
Marking Specification Not Found - MMR Issue so consult file for issue
Marking Specification Not Approved - Spec isn't yet approved to be marked.
Labels with UII populated - Issue with Data
Wrong Location - DRT location and selected location don't match so consult file.
Of the list above it is most important to check WRONG LOCATION as this is either a DRT error or a user error when selecting the location and the user should consult the file and delete the job and start the process again. LABELS WITH UII POPULATED could be a DRT error uploading data to DRMIS so CTU and DRMIS don't match or the MMR could have changed which can be the case. This is handled on a case by case basis but should be investigated with the DRT.
Step 4: Send Data to Job
Once the Data has been reviewed then the user is ready to send the data to the job and must click SEND DATA TO JOB.
For 90% of SLOCS the tagging team are going to a normal base in Canada, if this is the case then the data should be fully refreshed and the user should click OVERRIDE TAG DATA. This will wipe the data in the current tool and replace with the new data.
If the tagging team is going to a depot or if the data load is occurring while the tagging team is at the base, then the user should click ADD TAG DATA. This will not wipe the SLOC or delete any data that was being done that day. If any doubt about what is a Depot or if the team is at that base today then talk to the relevant DRT.
