This guide explains how to approve a marking specification.

1. From the dashboard, click the "Marking Specs" button.

2. Search for a Marking Spec that requires approval by entering either the Name, NSN/MPN or asset class to find a marking spec. You can also filter by Awaiting Customer Approval to see any Marking Specifications that are outstanding

3. If the search returns a valid Marking Specification then click the Name of the  Marking Specification to review all the Marking Specification attributes and approve it. The current Marking specification status is on the right hand column. The user must click the Name and the system will bring the user to the Marking Specification page.

5. The user can then review all the attributes for the Marking Specification to confirm they are correct. These include all the data and tag variables such as

  1. NSN
  2. Cage Code
  3. Part number
  4. UID tag configuration
  5. UID label placement

6. Once the user has reviewed the Marking Specification, the user can hit customer approval which will bring up a pop up screen where the user can accept the marking specification or reject it. If the user accepts it then the system will approve the Marking Specification for UID label production.

7. If the user is not happy with the marking spec then the user can reject the marking specification and can give a reject reason so that the Camcode Engineering team can make amendments. Once the amendments are made Camcode will contact the user to re-approve the marking specification.
